Hey friends! My boyfriend had a taste for Korean BBQ so we came across this place on Yelp. We ordered the all you can eat option. I can't remember every flavor we ordered, but we had a combination of their shrimp, beef, chicken and squid. We enjoyed everything! Ingredients were fresh and portions were generous. The all you can eat option comes with a food bar. The food bar was stocked with various condiments, sides such as: brown and white rice, onion rings, salads, shrimp, and even dessert! For dessert we had the cinnamon cake, chocolate cake and strawberry cake. The cinnamon was our favorite! Service was very friendly. Our grill was replaced often. Our server checked on us often. The interior is very eclectic. It's the first thing that catches your eye as you enter. Parking is free and ample. Price point is pretty affordable. About $33/person. I would definitely return. Hope you enjoy! With love, The Picky Pescatarian
I have been to MeatUp Korean BBQ several times, and each time I loved it. I love the self-served bar, the small dishes, and of course the meat! The quality of the food is great! It is so good, I would travel 40 mins to be there. I love the curry fried chicken, garlic shrimp and the short ribs. The inside is remodeled. Brand new industrial cyber style interior. Give it a try and you will love it.
First timer here - and to be honest, I was not sure of the 'cook for myself' approach for public dining - but MeatUp.. I get it. You enter (the parking lot is designated but limited so.. pack your patience when arriving), and you're taken to a well lit, super cool spot. *see pictures* Almost gives you a speakeasy vibe, iykyk. Anyway, my brother and I got the gyoza, and the unlimited chicken, lamb and steak to cook. The portions are great and plentiful. The unlimited bar was also full of options including spices and seasonings to pick from - my recommendation; mix the curry & the rice if you like spice in your life. Bomb. My brother and I are already texting how we're going to return again for ramen! The only reason why I did not give this place 4 is because of their parking, and simply because.. as delicious as the food was, for the price - I could have cooked at home with the same amount of money - and been able to take the food home. Nonetheless, I WILL be returning for ramen. Until then....
Solid KBBQ spot with a lively vibe. Meat quality is top-notch - try the bulgogi and pork belly. Portions are huge, so come hungry! Pros: Great meat selection Fun for groups Cool cocktails Cons: Can get noisy Pricier than some KBBQ places Expect a wait on weekends. About $35+ /person with drinks. Worth it for the quality, but not an every week splurge. Tip: Book ahead and come starving. You'll thank me later!"
The parking here was very difficult. We had to drive around a few times to find a spot to park. We were able to get seated right away. The customer service wasn't bad but not necessarily something I'd compliment either. It was sufficient. We got the unlimited and added Ramen. I got the spicy chicken ramen and I thought it was very flavorful and it was huge. The meats we got for the grill were really nice and thick. When I've gone to other similar places, The meats tend to be considerably thinner. The marinades the meat came in were very good and all the food we ate was good. My favorite was the grilled cinnamon pineapple. The sidebar with the rice, kimchi vegetables, and seasonings, etc was very lackluster compared to other places I've gone. Overall it was good experience and I felt it was worth the cost of what we paid.
It's been a while since I've been at College Park, but we just had to try MeatUp for a group birthday KBBQ dinner. It's been popping off on social media for the past few months, plus I love my techwear clothes and cyberpunk aesthetic, so the theme of this place is right up my alley! We tried a good variety of the different meats, along with the Soy Chicken Wings Appetizer, and the Tonkotsu Black Garlic Ramen. The overall meat quality for AYCE is pretty solid, my favorite meats were definitely the spicy pork belly, the pork jowl/cheek, the beef tongue, and the beef brisket! I appreciate that they have a good selection of meats too, with more rarer items on an AYCE menu like Pork Jowl, Short Rib, and Beef Tongue. The option for ramen and rice bento dishes was also nice, incase anyone wanted to just dine in for those dishes or were feeling like having it alongside the KBBQ. Drinks are really great too, the Tokyo Iced Tea and the Subak Watermelon Soju taste fantastic. Service is really fantastic, our server was attentive and always around whenever we required something. They were able to efficiently provide quality service to our large group despite the numerous requests and long orders. The owner Dennis, was a super friendly guy and made sure that we were accommodated with anything we needed! Also gotta love the free polaroid photo, each table gets 1 free printed polaroid picture of their party, just need to ask the server! Overall the Cyberpunk theme/vibes + the good quality food & selection for AYCE, makes this one of my top AYCE KBBQ spots for sure, and definitely a step up from the old Kangnam Grill before that occupied the space prior.
I came here for the first time for lunch on Valentine's Day. There is a parking lot on the side of the building so parking is easy. It's relatively dark inside with mood/ vibe lighting. Since it was lunch time there wasn't too much of a crowd. We walked in and were seated immediately. Or waiter was kind and gave us a quick breakdown. What I like here is that there's a buffet bar with sides as well as some sides you have to specifically order. Sides at the bar included fried rice, egg rolls, French fries, noodles and other cool sides. The sauces are also at the buffet bar so you don't have to beg for more yum yum sauce. All of the meat was good and well seasoned. My least favorite was probably the chicken, I mean... it's chicken, but you gotta try it all. This is definitely my new Korean BBQ spot. Happy eating!
